One Life, The Light
By Tom Stanley

One life, the light,
Drifting away, towards the silence,
Of peace and wrath,
A veiled design.
Give us a sign, a path,
A piece of somthing to call our own,
Simple and enduring,
Like love and pain.
Was I never here? I remember,
Clearly, the fall; the fall,
Lost to the darkness
And paled by it, but light endures.
The overwhelming sorrow,
Gives way to love, a flash,
Calling us, the light shines,
The light shines.
