Power and Grace
By Tom Stanley

Thunder cracks,
And lightning flashes.
The clouds drift on,
Towards violent clashes.
The rain falls with
Power and grace,
Uniquely beautiful,
Free from time and space.
Hushed voices
In the night,
Await the end
Of the storm's might.
Clouds pass on,
And the sun shines,
Shines down on us,
Through the oaks and pines.
No more thunder,
No more rain,
An end to sorrow,
An end to pain.
