The Ties That Bind
By Tom Stanley

The end of it all is near,
or is it finally here.
I really don't know,
or care if it ever shows.

Oh, Someday I'll find
The ties that bind,
That bind me to a world,
That hates everything.

I stand on the edge of nothing,
Screaming at the top of my lung wishing for something,
To pick up the pieces of my shattered life,
And throw them back in my face.

I'm dying inside,
My nightmares make me want to hide
But all I can do is run;
Everything's coming undone.

Yeah I've gotta find
The ties that bind.
'Cause I'm caught between a rock
And a world that hates everything.

I stand on the edge of nothing,
Screaming at the top of my lung wishing for something,
To pick up the pieces of my shattered life,
And throw them back in my face.

When the bells tolls for me,
I'll be waiting,
Holding a cracked mirror for all can see,
Everything you've been hating.

As my silent rage flows
Like a bloody volcano.
My scarred soul shows
more than anyone can know.

I stand on the edge of nothing,
Screaming at the top of my lung wishing for something,
To pick up the pieces of my shattered life,
And throw them back in my face.

I stand on the edge of nothing,
Screaming at the top of my lung wishing for something,
To pick up the pieces of my shattered life,
And throw them back in my face.

The end is near,
It's finally here,
Oh the end is near,
The end is near.

So let it come
And pour down its pain;
Leveling the world,
leaving a dark stain.

And as I feel,
I need to see,
What was is now gone,
but still needs to be...

Set free.
