Justice For Sale
By Tom Stanley

Justice is a memory,
Faded and pale,
Greed is all you see;
For the right price
Even it can be for sale.

Memories and faith that
Right is right,
Wrong is wrong; it all falls flat
We still vow to uphold
The truth for which we fight

Faith and fairness,
The jury unaware;
That the verdict's bought; happiness
Destroyed and the jailed innocents crying foul
Slack-jawed and shattered, blankly stare.

It's unfair, it's a shame
How far we can fall
And we pay the price in this game;
Money buys freedom,
It puts our backs against the wall.
