Those Who Don't Come Back
By Tom Stanley

Once more with feeling into the shadow gray,
Again, again to save the day;
Another falls in our name,
Nothing changes, the story sadly always the same.

Live free and live just,
Ashes to ashes, and turns to dust;
We often see and forget what has come,
Of the fallen brethren who don't come home.

The calling they heed, few truly know,
Wearing patriot hearts, not just for show;
Knightly deeds som think they do,
In reality hating killing in the name for me and you.

Heading off to foreign lands,
Leaving with bloody souls, bloody hands;
So brave, so scared that's no lie,
Many good hearts stand, many die.

So when you see bitter memory in their faces,
Remember those who lie anong cross lined spaces;
Those who stood for freedom and lost,
Lest we forget the human cost.

Honour those who stood before,
Lost in the past, lost to war;
And lastly those who fight and live,
For we owe it all to what they fought to give.
